Not much of a gap between events this year as 2012 Nationals were held late in the year last year. We are back to Gerroa next week and I highly recommend it - it a great spot with 2 possible locations for event and plenty of surf beaches too.
Also check out the new Aus Nationals website - great effort put into this site esp under Hall of Fame.

Well the B2B event didn't dissapoint this year! Fantastic turnout (48 competitiors) and great conditions. We had the standard bit of controversy - this time the start, an new race record and 10 people in under 20 mins! I asked new friend Luigi Romano (PWA Slalom) who is in Melbourne for the Summer to go and he gave reigning champion Ian Fox a run for his money beating him to the marker but Ian held onto to his winning streak (10 years in a row) and took it out again in...Read Full Post »

Had an amazing time in Woolgoolga, NSW for the Australian Wavesailing titles. Have driven about 3,500kms, but it was worth it. Great location, terrific people, sailable conditions (can sail in any wind but Westerly), breaching whales, local pig races and lots of parties

Congrats to all the winners......

Wow - I cant believe I haven't been out in 4 months, well, it has been a pretty ordinary winter this year, not very inspiring photography wise - grey flat skies and dark water. So it was a N 25+ forecast for Sunday just gone, the sun was shining so I managed to get to Green Point to see who was out, it was pretty windy, gone was the sun, prob 6-8 sailors out and 2 kiters. Felt pretty rusty and my camera hand was a bit sore, lol, but is was good to get into the swing of things...Read Full Post »

Results and recap from WVS crew "The second round of the 11/12 VWS series was held at Point Impossible on Sunday 16/10.
A great turn out of wavesailors were greeted with Westerly winds around 20-25knots with some fun sized 2ft waves which made for some great wave riding and jumping.
The sun was out and the wind was up early which saw over 30 guys on the water having a free-sail before the expression sessions got under way.
I know we keep saying this, but the level of sailing...Read Full Post »

Ok, so here are results and recap from the WVS crew....
Round 1 - "Round one of the Victorian Wave series got off to a flying start at Right Point, Cat bay on Sat 10/09/11
The first round called on for the 2011/12 season, only one week into the season was a great success with SW wind ranging from 15-25 knots and head high swell and a good turn out of around 20 competitors all keen to get out in the waves.
An early start to beat the low tide proved a good cal...Read Full Post »
